Says it’s open 24 hours but I went down on a Monday night at 11pm and they were closing so the times are incorrect as before it was open 24 hours before the refurbishment which I think should’ve been stated in the opening hours instead of it saying 24 hours service. Don’t recommend using this place as they can’t relay correct information.
3 out of 4 chargers not working. Charge rate only 43 kw.
Always closed
Was great BEFORE renovation, hot food counter now overpriced & also the hatch is now only open after 11pm, where previously was open all the time, so can’t walk dog & get electricity top up anymore 😐
+ The new update has greatly improved its facilities ! + Much better hot food & coffee counter (no more burnt sausages!) - Hot food - they seem to take the word "small" very literally; there were barely any chips and not much chicken - Hot food - they seem to stop serving the small sausage rolls at 12.00, at least thats what they said ! Both were caused by the English lady at the hot food counter. Maybe with a little bit of advice they could have a great hot food counter, like Robinson's on the Cullybackey Road.
Disappointing Service Experience I recently visited the service station, and while the physical appearance was impressive following the renovation, my overall experience left much to be desired. The layout of the station was poorly designed, leading to two separate queues forming for a single till, causing unnecessary delays, especially when in a hurry. During my visit, I encountered an issue with a nearly flat tire and requested a pound coin cash back from the cashier after paying for my fuel, so that I could use the air machine to inflate my tire. The cashier said that he was not able to give me cash back. When I asked the cashier how other customers got coins for the machine to pump up their tires, he just repeated we don't do cash back. When I inquired about alternative options, the cashier's response remained unhelpful and repetitive. He showed no interest in providing service and no empathy in the issue I was experiencing. Frustrated by the lack of assistance, I went to another Maxol service station up the road. To my relief, they were able to provide the cash back I needed, allowing me to successfully inflate my tire. Adding to my disappointment, upon examining the receipt, I discovered that the cashier had logged in under another employee's name. This raised concerns about the service station's commitment to security and left me questioning their attention to detail. Overall, my experience was deeply unsatisfactory and disappointing. The appealing aesthetics of the facility were overshadowed by the inconveniences caused by the flawed layout and the unhelpful attitude of the staff. Maxol should have taken some of the investment money for the renovation and invested it in training their staff.
Just visited their 'newly' refurbished store to try out the new deli counter as I've been going here every week for over the last 15 years. I can safely say I will never be back as the new prices are an absolute rip off, £5.50 for a COLD small chicken curry and chips, and when I say small I counted 8 chips on the bottom. The new staff at the deli counter need to be more aware of a queue forming rather than having a conversation with their friends, though this will not affect me again. Also selling mostly sausage rolls does not make you a deli counter.
Good service

Good food. 24hr too. Why one star. Price of fuel is beyond a joke. Picture 6 months ago. Now sitting at £149.9 a litre. DOES NOT NEED TO BE AT THAT PRICE. Sadly I know other filling stations will follow shortly. Not doing yourself any favours.
Big Jeff the best sale man there
Lady behind the breakfast / sandwich counter needs to know that the gloves she wears are disposable!! Not to be worn when doing all tasks. She had her gloves on while cleaning the sink in the kitchen area and then proceeded to make my sandwich without taking them of and replacing them she was wearing a mask but prior to making the sandwich she took the mask off with the same gloves! Management please address this at your food counter...
Very poor Covid-19 standards. Customers inside too close, ignore using sanitizer or wearing masks. They also do not give double points for the barista coffee if you use the recycling cups. Sneaky.
Called in for a sandwich from the deli counter and the lady didn't wear any gloves or wash her hands before making it for me! Gross. Not a great selection in deli either!
