Don't except foreign cards nor contactless. Need to update their facilities. Used maxol station instead they open at 5am ,5 mins drive away.
No EV chargers
Handy 24/7 fuel service
Given that this gas station is the closest to the airport, it's unacceptable that the pumps do not accept international credit cards. This issue forced us to find another gas station to refuel the rental car, ultimately causing us to miss our flight. Don’t plan on using this gas station to refuel your rental car!!!!
I don't think BT29 4ZR is correct postcode...I ended up down farm path. I ended up using the postcode for M&S BT29 4DW to arrive there. But anyway the procedure to get petrol was fine ..it seemed clean and spacious and very close to airport
Bit dearer than others in the are
Went in and done a shop. A few weeks later I received a parking fine from Smart Parking for £100. I would advise everyone to avoid this store.
Good, efficient fuel pumps with a useful decent small M&S food retail and fast food outlets. Handy while waiting for flight arrivals.
I parked here while I was waiting for my son's plane to land. I popped into M&S for a few bits it was handy.
Don't park up and go for food, you get charged a parking fine £100. I stayed for 36 mins, parked near the main road, went in for food and got a fine. Disgusted😡😡
Spacious with plenty of pumps and payment options
Would give a 0 if possible they have very hostile parking company “Smart Parking” in £60 pound fine for just over 50 mins in the car park area. Where there is no evidence of the time limit clearly displayed. Emo Using Smart Parking is a rip off. Smart indeed 14 days to pay, but a letter dated 22/08/2023 arrives on 04/09/2023, that is 13 days later. My recommendation is to drive EMO Express out of Business.
Did not accept any of our credit cards, and had no option to pay cash. Do not let this be your only option for refueling your rental car - you may well end up empty-handed and paying the fuel surcharge like we did.
Filled up before returning hire car, only able to select how much you wanted to fuel up by (£10/20 etc) which is difficult to judge when you only have a hire car for a few days! Thankfully we choose the £20 amount which was enough. Perhaps the station should adopt the supermarket methods of charging your credit/debit card for the amount of fuel actually bought rather then forcing you down the path of guessing and being overcharged....but then how would they make a profit!!!!
Can't rate the facilities other than the pay at pump service as was there at 05.00, but they worked and issued 2x receipts upon request which is ideal if using it for business
Great location and very nice M&S for picking stuff up going to/from the airport. But with only Burger King currently open aside from M&S and especially there being no coffee place, as a venue to wait for friends and relatives you might be picking up or dropping off, it is limited beyond a little food to take home and fuel!
Most exp UNATTENDED fuel in NI.. AVOID..
Busy place
Brilliant marksys at airport 👏
The only petrol station within several miles of the Belfast INTERNATIONAL Airport does not accept INTERNATIONAL credit cards. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. Unfortunately, I didn’t leave myself enough extra time to find another petrol station 5 miles away, drive there, fill up and drive back to the airport. So I had to leave the rental car half full and will surely pay a fortune for the rental car company to refill it.
Didn’t work with any Australian bank or credit cards, ended up driving the hire car back up the road to the first manned pumps toward Moira.
Warning: they do not accept *any* American credit or debit cards! To be clear, this does not just exclude Amex - they will not accept any card with an American issuer, including Visa, Mastercard, etc.
Its a petrol station ⛽
Can get very busy at flight times . Good little M&S shop
Great m&s food hall. Petrol and Diesel expensive
Can confirm will still not accept foreign credit cards. Tried two (Mastercard and VISA) without success. Ironic given it is opposite an international airport… Do yourself a favour, go directly to the Circle K at 11 Tully Rd, Crumlin which is only a few miles away. No prepayment required. Curious whether any of the previous reviewers actually looked at their cards a week later, I’d suggest the final sale amount was adjusted.
It is a handy place to wait for a plane to arrive when it is running late
I like it
Warning - does not accept American Express. (P.S. Ignore the bad reviews saying you'll be charged more than you put in - card charges work in a two-step process - authorization and settlement. Many banks show the authorization amount until the transaction settles, but it will settle correctly within a few days.) This petrol station is very convenient to care hire returns at Belfast International Airport, has pay at the pump so is very convenient, and seemed clean and modern. All of this is great. However, they don't take Amex cards - something I wasn't aware of any petrol station not taking. Thus, it's incredibly inconvenient for anyone who prefers to or has to use Amex.
Best price.
Brilliant facilities
Slow. Each pump seems to trickle fuel into your car as you pull the handle. It seems to take roughly one minute per litre for filling. It's painful.
Charged me £80 for £30 of petrol. Total rip off. You have to choose a maximum amount ant they actually take that amount.
Clean, efficient petrol station right beside the airport.
Fuel is expensive but the burger king and subway are amazing. Burger King accepts vouchers from their app (unlike burger kind in the terminal and its cheaper). If I'm travelling I get food in here and then head to the airport. M&S tills suck and tend to overcharge so keep an eye on that
Expensive and a complete rip off. You have to pay in mutiples of £10 and they pocket the change.
Good
Great place to wait for family flying into Belfast International
Shop and rest rooms are good ..but fuel is expensive for a self service fuel stop .. I use the wash room but get fuel 3 miles down the road ...
Always use it for my Adblue as is cheap & direct from the pump
All good
Disgusting business practice, you get charged the full amount you select for a maximum regardless of what fuel you actually take, i didn't see any option to draw as a regular pump would. I paid £50 for £17 worth of fuel, Avoid this station they don't deserve our business!
Looks after his customers 10 out of 10
Average
Just filled up rental car at Emo. Card only purchase allowed!!! Initially asked for £20 max fill. Not enough so asked for £10 max fill to complete top up. Took £4 extra. Checked bank account at airport. Full £10 taken for top up, no credit given. Worse still charged £79 authorisation fee for £20 transaction. £89 authorisation fee for £10 transaction. So they’ve had £176 out of my account for £24 worth of diesel. Robbery. And no one at Emo to answer calls!!! Rental company tell you you can top up on way back at Emo! Should be telling you about charges and overpaying !!!!! Daylight robbery I can guess how difficult it’s going to be to get the authorised monies back. Do Not Use EMO!!!!
It should be made clearer that the monetary amount you are forced to choose as "spend" is the amount you will be charged to your card. I chose an amount, but spent less than half as it wasn't needed but was charged the full amount. Not clear at all!
Cheap fuel
If I can give 0 I would. Anyway pay at the pump ask what the maximum fuel you want to put in I did 40 pound but field in 15 pound when I checked my balance they taken 40 pound when I called them they give me a number for Dublin to call and they said it has nothing to do with us
Wouldn't take my foreign chip card as payment. It was extremely inconvenient for me to top up my rental car's petrol tank. I had to go to another station 10 minutes away that did accept my cards to fill the tank before returning the car. It would be nice if the station across the street from the airport would accommodate visitors like that.
