Cheap Fuel in Your Area - Circle K Donnybrook Dublin

Was in there today and have to say I was appalled at how I was treated by a member of staff in front of customers in the shop. I drive a taxi for a living and roughly spend around €800 a month on petrol car washes etc. I purchased €30 worth of petrol and went into shop to pay. The girl behind counter took the cash and ran it through their machine to check the notes were legit. The €20 note went through fine but the €10 note kept getting refused. In fairness the note was old but all serial numbers were clearly visible. She refused to take it and said I needed to pay with a different note. I had left house without my wallet so all I had was the €30 float I keep in the taxi. At this point the que in the shop was getting longer and customers were clearly getting annoyed. I tried explaining to the staff member that I deal with cash everyday and know a fake note from genuine legal tender and that it was her machine that couldn’t recognise the note because it was aged. I’ve had this problem before in other circle k garages throughout Dublin but the staff always accept the note is old and didn’t embarrass and belittle me in front of a line of customers. I tried calling the shop later on today to speak with the manager in relation to the above but the phone number seems to be invalid. I’d appreciate if the person in charge could get back to me on this as I think it’s totally unacceptable how I was treated.

Tonight, as usual, I have been served by this very nice and smiling young women. She probably doesn't realise what a HUGE difference it makes. Always there, always helpful and smiling, I definitely recommend if you are near by !

Normally the staff is spot on and the place is nice and clean. However, few weeks back I popped over early in the morning, around 6am. Just to get some fuel. The till assistant just waived me away shaking his head as if I did something wrong. I've asked their customer service what was the issue that morning - no reply since.

Handy petrol station. Quite small but the coffee is great here. Friendly staff here
