- Location-Based Alerts — If you set a default location and enable push notifications, we may send alerts about fuel prices near you. Your location data is stored securely and never shared with third parties.
You can disable all notifications at any time via your profile settings at fuelcompare.ie/update-profile.
Data Retention
- Account data — Retained until you delete your account
- Price submissions — Retained indefinitely as part of the public price history (anonymised after account deletion)
- Analytics data — Retained for 14 months (Google Analytics) or 12 months (PostHog)
- Notification history — Retained for 90 days
- Device tokens — Deleted when the token expires or you uninstall the app
When you delete your account, all personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days, including backups.
