Location Data
Our app requests location data in two ways:
- In-use: To show the user the closest petrol stations. This helps in providing a personalized and useful experience by displaying relevant petrol stations based on the user’s current location.
- Background: To check the user's position periodically and request user collaboration in updating nearby petrol station prices. This background location data collection helps in maintaining up-to-date information on petrol prices for the community. Users are notified of this background data collection through our consent mechanism and can control location permissions through their device settings.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4 and PostHog, to analyze user behavior, enhance our website and mobile apps, and provide personalized services. Personal data is stored in Firebase with security provided by Firebase, and emails and favorites are stored in a Digital Ocean database with SSL. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
