EU Database Rights Notice
The fuel price data, station information, and all compiled datasets on FuelCompare.ie constitute a database protected under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC) and the European Communities (Legal Protection of Databases) Regulations 2001 (S.I. No. 513/2001) as transposed into Irish law. We have made substantial investment in the obtaining, verification, and presentation of this data. Unauthorized extraction and/or re-utilisation of the whole or a substantial part of these contents is prohibited and may give rise to civil liability and criminal penalties.
Liquidated Damages
You acknowledge that unauthorized automated access causes direct commercial harm that is difficult to quantify. Unauthorized scraping constitutes a breach entitling Dullahan Media Limited to liquidated damages of EUR 100 per page accessed or EUR 10,000 per dataset extracted, whichever is greater, in addition to any other legal remedies available.
Violations may result in immediate account termination, IP blocking, and legal action under the Irish Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000, the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC), and the Computer Fraud and Abuse provisions of Irish law. For data licensing enquiries, contact info@fuelcompare.ie.
Price Accuracy and Liability
- •Fuel prices displayed on FuelCompare are sourced from community reports and public data. We do not guarantee their accuracy.
- •Prices may change at any time without notice. Always verify the price at the pump before purchasing.
- •FuelCompare accepts no liability for financial loss, wasted journeys, or any other damages arising from reliance on displayed prices.
- •Station owners may contact us at info@fuelcompare.ie to correct inaccurate listings.
Notifications and Communications
- •By creating an account, you may opt in to receive push notifications and email communications.
- •You can manage your notification preferences at any time via your profile settings or the unsubscribe link in emails.
- •Transactional emails (account security, password resets) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
- •Marketing and promotional notifications require your explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from the use of FuelCompare shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Users in the European Union retain their rights under applicable EU consumer protection legislation, including the right to bring proceedings in their member state of residence.
